Camden Boss asked Rade to build a website to provide a showcase for their products.
The website was built using the open-source Umbraco content management system along with the uCommerce e-commerce system for product data. Product data is imported from a Sage CSV export via a scheduled import. The import process also tags uploaded images, data sheets and product drawing files to product records so that a full product information page can be provided.
As Camden Boss use a network of resellers the website does not include direct purchase but does provide links to individual product pages on reseller websites. The reseller links are imported from Excel spreadsheets via an admin area upload.
The website includes faceted searching for products within bottom level categories as well as a keyword search across the site for both content and product pages.
The website is fully responsive with breakpoints for mobile, tablet and desktop computers.
