Circuit Driver In-car Active

Enthusiast magazine Circuit Driver approached Rade to help adapt their printed guides to interactive DVD-ROMs.  The first guide for Silverstone was completed in 2002 and used video footage, logged data and a voice-over to show the user the best line around the circuit.

Video footage from 4 car and helmet mounted cameras was synchronised with speed, accelaration and RPM data and a generated ciruit map.  The user could select which video angle and data to view, and could choose to listen to a commentary or just the engine noise.  A bonus element showed a lap of the track in a Ferrari 250 GTO on-loan from Nick Mason of Pink Floyd.

Sadly the planned series of UK and European tracks was never completed.
