London Waste Map

Along with Arup, Rade were contracted by the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWaRB) in 2010 to build a GIS mapping website to provide access to the Board’s spatial data on waste infrastructure and solutions within the Greater London area.

As with Rade’s other GIS web applications the London Waste Map was build on ESRI’s ArcGIS Server.  The system allowed users to select layers to display, perform queries and identify layers.

The website used Rade’s ESM content management system to allow non-geographical data to be provided along with reports and downloads, and to provide a login for map access so that data about usage could be obtained.

In mid-2016 geo-spatial data from the website was incorporated into the Greater London Assembly’s main GIS system and the website was closed.
