When Tyres Online were considering building a price comparison choice, Rade were the obvious choice to deliver the data driven system.
The website collected data from tyre suppliers via XML or CSV through either a web service or via FTP upload, secured by IP address restrictions. The data was imported into a SQL Server database which was used by the website to provide results for search queries.
The website allowed users to search by tyre size, aspect ratio, speed rating, mail order or fully fitted, price range and keywords. The results were shown in order of price and the system allowed the administrator to create featured searches for use on the homepage for targeted marketing, for example for winter tyres.
Due to changes in the market the website was closed in July 2016 after six years.
